Fantastic First Day!

Up: A Mother and Daughter's Peakbagging Adventure went on sale yesterday!

I was so busy running around and keeping up with publicity/media notifications that I never had time to sit and write my daily blog post!  Scroll down to see the latest press news.

The reading/signing at The Harvard Coop was a great success.  It was standing room only and the Coop nearly sold out its entire stock of Up.

Full house!

Late tonight or early tomorrow, I'll create a review/publicity page so I can put all the media links for Up in one place.  In the meantime, here's what was posted yesterday and this morning--

Never heard of you until this week. And yet, I've already read the book and reviewed it on Amazon as "FANTASTIC." I am in awe of you and your very capable children.

So, now my question: Just when are you going to tell them about the Appalachian Trail? I'm hoping to do it next year. ;[)

Hi Paula,

Thanks for your post, and for leaving such a great review on Amazon! I'm glad you enjoyed the book.

We know all about the Appalachian Trail, as part of it goes over the mountains we habitually hike. :) Please let us know when you're going and give us a link to your trail journal. We can meet you on top of a mountain and give you a chocolate bar or two (trail magic!). Have a wonderful time!

OOH! Such a deal! The trail journal is already active, although it's sporadic at the moment, and all hike prep stuff now. Job for today - stuffing the down over quilt!

I LOVED your book! Very inspiring, I'm letting all my hiking friends with kids know about it (and hopefully I'll get to do something similar in the future).

I'm so glad you enjoyed UP! Many thanks for the compliments -- and for spreading the word! :)

Happy Trails,
