Thursday Things -- Trail Magic

The girls and I stayed at Carter Notch Hut on August 9 and 10.  We summited four peaks and Alex finished a complete second round of the New Hampshire Four Thousand Footers (she's ten peaks away from a third round).

Sage congratulates Alex on completing a second round of the NH4Ks.

More importantly, however -- we performed Trail Magic!  Trail Magic is the term for acts of kindness bestowed upon Appalachian Trail thru-hikers.  We gave chocolate bars and baked goods to these three nice fellows.

Jeff, Uncle Spider, and Dude

Jeff, Uncle Spider, and Dude should be in Mahoosuc Notch right about now.  We wish them well; I've no doubt they'll make it to Katahdin.
